CLADDING THERMAL BRIDGING SOLUTIONS
Continuous insulation is often interrupted by metallic structural connections such as clips and girts, which form thermal bridges when fastened to steel stud framing. A thermal bridge is a connection where heat transfer is greater than in the surrounding materials. Together with steel studs, these connections can significantly lower the U-value of wall assemblies.
Insulation efficiency can be cut by as much as 50% due to these heat transfer paths. Armatherm™ cladding solutions are designed to limit unnecessary heat loss. ArmaGirt improves the U-value of cladding and wall panel assemblies by removing the need for highly conductive steel girts and aluminum brackets, producing wall assemblies that can reach up to 98% efficiency.

Cladding Thermal Break
Armatherm cladding attachments are engineered to minimize thermal bridging and boost the performance of wall assemblies. ArmaGirt clips and structural thermal break components combine low thermal conductivity with high compressive strength to handle loads while cutting heat loss.
The Armatherm™ cladding material is manufactured from reinforced, fire resistant thermoset resin with minimal creep under load, making it a reliable choice for façade and structural thermal break applications. Thermal imaging clearly illustrates the effectiveness of these connections in retaining heat.

ArmaGirt Z Girt is developed to increase wall design efficiency by reducing thermal flow. Wall assembly insulation performance rises significantly, with some reaching 98% efficiency. These support systems also prevent heat loss and condensation issues commonly linked to thermal bridges.
In addition, ArmaGirt Z Girt helps wall assemblies meet continuous insulation standards under ASHRAE 90.1 and the Canadian NECB energy code. This ensures your projects comply with regulatory requirements.
ArmaGirt also offers structural advantages due to reduced thickness, lowering insulation costs. These assemblies can meet R-value targets across all climate zones under ASHRAE 2013 and NECB 2011 codes. Armatherm™ Z Girt, clips and thermal shims provide the needed combination of low thermal conductivity and mechanical strength to transfer loads while limiting energy loss.
